Selection of Candidates by beneficiary of Government department through Central Pool Quota NEET Counselling

Children of the Employees working in any of the following Government Department have reservation under Central Pool Quota.

1. Ministry of Defence (Kendriya Sainik Board) for wards/children of Defence personnel.

2. Ministry of Home Affairs – for wards/children of Para-Military personnel

3. Ministry of Home Affairs – For Civil Terrorist Victims Category

4. Ministry of External Affairs – for wards/children of Mission Staff posted abroad

5. Ministry of HRD – for Tibetan Refugees

6. Cabinet Secretariat – for wards of SSF, RAW, ARC Dte., SpG

7. Ministry of External Affairs – for self financing foreign students

Now let us discuss about these Government Departments:

  1. Ministry of Defence (Kendriya Sainik Board)for wards/children of the Defence Personnel:

Those candidates who are working or have been retired with Army, Navy, Air Force are eligible for Central Pool Quota where there are 21 Medical Colleges having 35 seats in MBBS, 02 Dental Colleges and 03 seats in BDS. Eligibility Conditions for Admissions:

Children of people working or retired from Army, Navy, and Air Force are eligible for this quota. Merit is based on Priority basis. There are 1 to 9 priorities like in the following:

Priority-I: Widows/Wards of Defence personnel killed in action Priority-II:Wards of disabled in action and boarded out from service

Priority-III: Widows/Wards of Defence personnel who died whilein service with death attributable to military service.

Priority-IV: Wards of disabled in service and boarded outwith disability attributable to military service Priority-V: Wards of Ex-Servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards:-

(i)        Param Vir Chakra

(ii)       Ashok Chakra

(iii)      Maha Vir Chakra

(iv)      Kirti Chakra

(v)       Vir Chakra

(vi)      Shaurya Chakra

(vii)     Sena, Nau Sena, Vayu Sena Medal

(viii)    Mention-in-Despatches

Priority VI: Wards of Ex-Servicemen

Priority VII: Wives of:

i)          Defence personnel disabled in action and boarded out from service.

ii)         Defence personnel disabled in action and boarded out with disability attributable to military service.

iii)        Ex-servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards.

Priority VIII: Wards of Serving Personnel.

Priority IX: Wives of Serving Personnel.

How to take Admission:

Counselling for Defence Quota is conducted by Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence, West Block-IV, Wing No. 7, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066. After the announcement of NEET 2020 Result candidates have to fill online Application Form on the official website of KSB sect i.e. www.ksb.gov.in . With the Application form candidates have to upload the documents. After this a merit is prepared on the basis of NEET score and as per the priorities and the dates for counselling is provided by Kendriya Sainik Board, Ministry of Defence, West Block-IV, Wing No. 7, RK Puram, New Delhi- 110066. The seat allotment is provided on the basis of priority i.e. first priority is given to Priority 1 , then Priority II, then Priority III and so on. After the seat allotment KSB sect issues the allotment letter and the candidates who get their names in the list have to visit the medical colleges and fulfil the admission formalities and get admission.

List of Documents needed to be uploaded with the Application Form:

(a) Self attested photocopy of the marks-sheet of Matriculation examination.

(b) Self attested photocopy of the marks-sheet of 10+2 or equivalent examination.

(c) Self attested copy of Result/Merit of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

(d) Eligibility certificate will be duly signed by ZSB/RSB and countersigned by OIC Records. For serving personnel in priority V, VII, VIII & IX eligibility certificated can be signedonlybyCO/OC Unit orOIC Records.

(e) Self attested photocopies of Education Entitlement Card, latest Pension Payment Order, Special/Liberalized family pension, Battle Casualty Certificate, Casualty Indicating Disabilityor documentary proof of Gallantry Award(copy of Gazette Notification andPart II Order), as applicable.

(f) Passport size photographs

  • Ministry of Home Affairs – for wards/children of Para – Military Personnel

 Children who are working/retired from Para- military force like BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP are eligible for Central Pool Quota and there is reservation for 20 Medical Colleges having 23 seats for MBBS course and 3 Dental seats in 3 Dental Colleges. How to take Admissions:

Children of Para Military forces working/retired are eligible for Central Pool Quota for admission in MBBS/BDS course and have to Application Form after the announcement of NEET Result. The Application form with the supporting documents is to be submitted with education department of respective Education section.

Details about the application format and the documents required are explained later in this content. After this Ministry of Home Affairs nominate the Nodal Officer who are from BSF, CRPF and ITBP. The Nodal Officer collect these form from different education section and prepare a merit list with documents on the basis of Priority and send it to the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Ministry of Home Affairs fix the dates of counselling and send it to the sections of Education departments. The Departments intimate the candidates via phone numbers. Ministry of Home Affairs conducts counselling offline and gives admission. The allotment of seats are based on the priority i.e. Priority I is given first preference then Priority II and then Priority III. After the seat allotment Ministry of Home Affairs issues a list and the candidates with allotted seats have to report to the allotted medical/dental college and fulfil the admission formalities and get admission.

  • Ministry of Home Affairs – for Civil Terrorist Victims Category:

Those civilian who are victim of Terrorist activities have 03 Medical Colleges having 4 seats in MBBS course under Central Pool Quota. The Government Medical/Dental Colleges are:

1.   A.N. Magadh Medical Clollege Gaya – 01 Seat

2.  Medical College Thrissur – 01 Seat

3.  Pt. JNM Medical College Raipur – 02 Seats

How to take Admission:

If you are under this category the contact to the Ministry of Home Affairs after the announcement of NEET Result.

  • Ministry of external Affairs – for wards/children of Mission Staff posted abroad:

Children of the Indian Mission Staff who are posted abroad comes under Central Pool Quota and there are 05 Medical Colleges having 5 seats reserve for these candidates. The Government Medical/Dental Colleges are:

1.  S.K. Medical College Muzaffarpur – 01 Seat

2.  Medical College Thrissur – 01 Seat

3.  NSCB Medical College Jabalpur – 01 Seat

4.  R.IM.S. Ranchi – 01 Seat

5.  G.R. Medical College Gwalior – 01 Seat

How to take Admission:

If your parents are working in Indian Mission Staff and posted abroad comes under Central Pool Quota. After the announcement of NEET Result candidates have to contact to the Ministry of External Affairs.

  • Ministry of HRD – for Tibetan Refugees

For Tibetan refugees there is 1 seat reserve at S.N. Medical College, Agra which comes under Ministry of Human Resource and Development. Apart from this candidates who won national Bravery Award have 1 seat reserved at A.N. Magadh Medical College, Gaya and 01 seats at NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur which comes under Ministry of Women and Child Development.

  • Cabinet Secretariat – for wards of SSF, RAW, ARC Dte, SPG

Children of people working/retired from SSF, RAW, ARC Dte., SPG are eligible for cental Pool Quota. The Government Medical/Dental Colleges are:

MBBS

1. VMMC, Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi – 01 Seat

2. Silchar Medical College Silchar – 01 Seat

3. Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi – 01 Seat

4. S.P. Medical College Bikaner – 01 Seat

If your parents are working/retired from SSF, RAW, ARC Dte., SPG then you are eligible for Central Pool Quota for MBBS/BDS course and have to contact to the Cabinet Secretariat after the announcement of NEET Result.

  • Ministry of external Affairs – for self financing foreign students:

The candidates of the countries which have friendly relations with our country(in an agreement with mutual agreement of the two nations) have reservation under Central Pool Quota in 28 Medical Colleges having 49 seats in MBBS course and 03 Dental colleges having 03 seats.
